Trousers are easy to construct but trouser fitting can fill even the most experienced seamstress with dread. In order to achieve a perfect fit you need to study and embrace the curves and contours of your body and learn how to alter a pattern to achieve a comfortable and flattering fit.
On this workshop you will adjust a basic straight leg trouser block to your measurements, toile your trousers and learn how to spot fit issues and fix them with some simple pattern adjustments.
We will begin by taking your measurements and using these to determine what pattern size you should use, we will make some adjustments to the block based on your measurements. You will make a toile of the trouser block before fitting and transferring your alterations to the block.
Once you have a trouser block fitted to your body, you can use this to make trousers THAT FIT YOU! You will also gain skills to adjust other commercial patterns.
