Learn to Sew in a Day - Adult's Beginners to Sewing One Day Workshop

Always wanted to try sewing? Done sewing at school and want to get back into it? Our beginners to sewing one day workshop may be the perfect way to dip your toes in. Come and learn in a class with a maximum of 6 people, ensuring quality time with your tutor.

What will I learn? 

• How to thread up and use computerised sewing machine (the same one they use on The Great British Sewing Bee!)
• How to use a sewing machine safely
• Filling  bobbin and threading up
• Various ways to neaten seams, including French seams
• Sewing on buttons
• Using the button hole function
• Hand stitching
• The use of interfacing to support fabric
• Sewing on a zip

And you'll have made your own bag by the end of the day!

The price of this course includes fabrics, notions, patterns to use on the day and take home, and tea/coffee and biscuits throughout. Not to mention the expert tuition of Carolyn!

You will get a choice from a pre-cut selection of fabrics to make your tote bag. We will email you the choices closer to the time of your workshop.
