Join us this Winter and learn a new skill. In this workshop you will learn:
- How to select the correct foot and stitch for best decorative effect.
- How to use products to stabilise fabric.
- How to pivot perfectly around tricky curves and shapes.
- Different techniques to make pictures with fabric.
- How to make a channel for a drawstring.
Appliqué is ornamental needlework in which pieces or patches of fabric in different shapes and patterns are sewn or stuck onto a larger piece to form a picture or pattern. It is commonly used as decoration, especially on garments. The technique is accomplished either by hand stitching or machine.
All materials and supplies included! It would be fabulous if you could bring your own sewing kit as its always good to use the tools you are familiar with. We obviously have all the bits you will require if you need to borrow a sewing kit on the day.
