Adults, Beginners, Pattern Drafting Trouser Block, Two Day Workshop
This workshop teaches you how to draft a well fitted pair of trousers. Getting the right fit is key to a flattering pair of trousers. You will learn the importance of measuring the body correctly and accurately and learn how to add ease to the back-crutch line, to allow for body movement when you are sitting down!
These measurements will be applied to start drafting your basic trouser block and then onto pattern paper. Once drafted, you will be guided through making your ‘toile’ (a calico ‘mock-up’ of the basic trouser block) which s fitted to your body and any adjustments needed will be transferred back onto the draft.
This course will teach you all these skills and leave you with a block and a toile that fits your body shape perfectly.
*Please note that Pattern cutting is a development process, and the blocks sometimes need to be developed and altered several times to get the perfect/desired fit and silhouette.
The course costs £180.00 and will include your paper and 2mtrs calico for your toile.
