Half Term - Make a Skirt - Tuesday 28th May 2024
Course length: 1 day x 5hrs (10.30am - 3:30pm with a lunch break) - £90 including materials
This one day workshop is designed to introduce you to the world of dressmaking by making a simple elasticated skirt with pockets!
To take part in this workshop, you must already know how to use a sewing machine.
What will I learn?
- how to use a paper pattern
- measuring yourself accurately
- choosing the correct size
- following the layout for pinning and cutting your fabric
- choosing appropriate seams for your fabric
- finishing raw edges
- making a casing and inserting elastic
- making a hem
- adding pockets
- pressing techniques
What is included?
We will provide you with a real of thread, fabric and the beautiful pattern so you can make even more at home. You can choose from Rainbow Chambray (Pictured on Sample), Daisy Chambray, Rose, Sky or Blue Stretch Denim
